Is Solar Lighting a Good Option for Your Gazebo?

You’ve got a lot of different options when it comes to lighting your gazebo. We’ve covered at least one option in the past.

However, until recently we probably would have told you that solar lights wouldn’t be a great option for a gazebo. That’s because solar lights don’t tend to absorb enough sun during the day to really give you a good, solid shine at night.

Or so we thought, until we saw the video below. It’s just a quick little video of a guy showing off his solar lighting system.

The guy who did the filming called them “tacky,” but we didn’t see anything wrong with them. They were, in fact, rather charming, and quite bright.

So it would seem that it all depends on which solar lights you buy. A lot would also depend on the amount of sunlight you get during the day.

Forbes actually did an article on choosing the right solar lighting for your garden and landscape. Any of these tips could easily apply to your gazebo lighting as well. This article comes with some very nice photographs of landscapes that have been lit by solar lights.

So go right on ahead and be as environmentally friendly as possible when you’re lighting up your gazebo once the weather gets warm. Not only are they environmentally friendly, but they can be relatively easy to install, too.
