Want Some New Plants This Spring?

Sometimes as we all look around our gardens and landscapes things can start to feel a little “same old, same old.”

Of course, you have an option to just go out and buy a bunch of new plants if you want to break up the monotony. Or you can get out there, meet some fellow garden enthusiasts, get social, and have a little fun at the Ozaukee Master Gardener’s Spring Plant Exchange.

This exchange takes place from May 15 to May 17. The times are a little different each day:

  • May 15 from 11 am – 1 pm and 4-7 pm.
  • May 16 from 11 am – 4 pm.
  • May 17 from 10 am – 11 am.
  • Here’s what you do. You bring a seedling, cutting, or potted plant to the event. When you turn it in, you’ll get a coupon for a different plant entirely. You might just find some plants you’ve never heard of or thought of but which grow wonderfully in Wisconsin and which will be brilliant additions to your landscape. Just make sure the plant that you bring is both potted and labeled.

The event will be held at the Grafton Library at 1620 11th Avenue in Grafton, WI.

If you don’t get a chance to go to the event you might still get some great information out of the Ozaukee Master Gardener’s newsletter, “The Best Dirt.” You can read the spring issue here. Their “Ask a Master Gardener” section has some especially helpful, useful information in it.

At A1 Fence we want you to enjoy every aspect of your landscape. That’s why we keep making sure that you know about the kinds of nearby community events that could help you enjoy it even more.
