Aluminum fences can give your home an “old-world” feel without all of the problems and issues that come with a wrought iron fence. If you enjoy the look and feel of aluminum you may be pleased to discover that the material offers lots of other advantages as well.
First, aluminum never rusts. Wrought-iron fences rust because they’re iron, but aluminum has no such problems.
Wrought-iron is a little tougher in that it’s harder to dent, but that’s relative. However, they’re both metal. Neither one of them dent that easily in the first place.
In fact, some scientific estimates say that aluminum takes over 10,000 years to disintegrate. Now that’s a fence with some staying power!
You also never have to paint or stain an aluminum fence if they’re done correctly. You in fact don’t have to get out there with any kind of a protective coating.
That is, of course, assuming that you’ve chosen the right kind of aluminum. Some aluminum fences are merely painted.
Painted aluminum is not nearly so maintenance-free. If you get the wrong kind of aluminum fence then you’ll eventually have to re-paint it.
At A-1 Fence, however, we choose powder coated aluminum. That means your fence has all the weatherization it needs from the moment we put it in the ground for you.
Don’t worry about missing out on color, either. Powder coated aluminum fencing comes in many different colors.
Aluminum fences are also “rackable.” This means that they can follow the natural curve and contour of the land without a problem.
Do you have a yard with lots of hills, slopes, and dips? Then this might well be the right type of fence for you simply because you won’t have to deal with gaps at the bottom of your fence.
Other types of fences are not rackable. There are a few solutions that we can use to handle a curvy yard, but few of them are as elegant as simply going with aluminum in the first place.
Finally, aluminum fences are secure, which is what makes them such excellent pool fences. It’s simply much harder to climb over an aluminum fence, especially if you’ve opted for decorative spear-tops.
We’ve installed many fine aluminum fences in Menomonee Falls, Glendale, Mequon, and elsewhere in the Milwaukee metro area. Call us today if you’d like a free estimate!
