Every now and then we like to stop talking about fences long enough to shine a light on some of the amazing things that are happening in our local community. It’s a way that we can support good causes. It’s also a great way to get neighbors out, about, and meeting each other. And let’s face it, October is an amazing time to get out anyway. You get that perfect fall weather, our beautiful fall color, and the Halloween season all rolled up in one. Doing NaNoWriMo this year? Get prepared by heading to the novelist’s workshop at AllWriter’s..
Do you love fresh, local honey? It’s hard to get better, tastier, fresher honey than honey harvested from your very own back yard. The City of Milwaukee (and many of the outlying suburbs) do require you to be a certified beekeeper if you want to have and enjoy this experience for yourself. What’s the easiest way to do that? Take advantage of the Milwaukee County Extension’s Certified Beekeeping program. The program starts on April 26. You can download a registration form here. Not sure if you want bees yet? Check out the program before you make the investment.
The Realtor’s Home and Garden Show is here again. It’s a great way to kick off the spring season because it’s a lovely place to get all sorts of grand new ideas. We’re going to be there as one of the exhibitors, so we thought we’d take a moment to give you just a few details about this seriously cool show. For example, you won’t want to miss the Solutions Stage, or the Cooking Patio Stage. There’s going to be a lot of great information passed on at these seminars. There are also gardens to explore. Every year..
